Hello, I am Robin. I live in Austin, TX. I have been dressing since I was about 11. I am now in my early 50's. My story is probably not much different than most. Urges, dressing, purges. ! I finally got smart enough to quit purging, it cost to much money! I find that each time I try something new, it only makes me want to go further. I remember the first time I went out driving. What a thrill, but scared to death. In the past few years, I have had opportunity to travel alone (business). I usually manage to have some extra time for dressing. My latest out of town adventure was last August. I flew to Mass. and picked up a car to drive back to Texas. Yep, as soon as I could find a safe place, I was dressed and driving all the was home! Two days on the road and a lot of Wal Marts later I made it home. Had to change just befor I got here though. I will take time to chronicle the trip with all of the thrills, passes, and no passes. Quite a trip. Better go for now. I am glad I found this forum and look forward to communicating with others and maybe meeting someday!

Robin,
Welcome to the forum! I'm new here myself and already am amazed at how friendly everyone is. I'd love to hear about your road trip. I'd give it a shot if I weren't so chicken about going to very public places like a WalMart.
Take care
Angie

Hi Robyn!
I totally agree. Been there, Done that.
One time, I was driving a 17 foot rental box truck, dressed in a VERY short sleeveless dress, heels, and wig, with no makeup, in the pouring rain, and there was an unexpected truck weigh station. I absolutely had to stop, but the policeman waved me through, without so much as a second glance. Thank goodness!
Another time, I was on the way home in a (different) 27 foot rental box truck, underdressed, but not yet dressed. The "Chicken-Coups" were open, and even though I was totally empty (deadheading) at the time, they couldn't understand that I wasn't hauling personal items. So, I had to park and go inside to explain all this. Thank goodness I wasn't yet dressed!
Read my beginnings for a story about getting stuck on a rural Nebraska dirt road.
Welcome to our forum.
Hugs,
Bernice
