Hi I'm Jane and I have just discovered this forum. I have only joined the vast experience that is the web. I am a hetro CD and have been dressing for over 40yrs in total secrecy due to location, family, work and my own insecurities.
I first realized that I was attracted to feminine clothes at school in the late 1950s. Female clothes were so pretty then, especially petticoats. I just couldn't comprehend why girls could wear them and I couldn't. I began the usual way by sneaking into my mothers room and dressing up in her stockings and girdles etc. I especially adored her slips and very rarely, today, will wear a dress or skirt without a slip underneath. In the beginning I was addicted to underwear but eventially became interested in the fully clothed look. Last month I plucked up the courage to tell my sister. It was the most difficult decision I have ever made. However she was magnificent. For the first time in my life I am now experimenting with make up and wigs. I am happier now than at any time. Jane

Hi Jane, Like the song, when Irish eyes are smiling!!!...... Yes, a lot of us here started the same way and some of our sisters continue to "stay in the closet" and there is nothing wrong with that. We have a saying here, "Just small steps honey, small steps." Telling your sister is a real milestone. Hope you continue to participate with us.

Jane, welcome !
From personal experience, once you start CDing, you can't stop. Like you, I started with women's panties and now I have escalated to being dressed fully (sans wig).
Congrats on tellings your sister about your CDing !

Hi thankyou all for your welcome. I have remained silent for more than 40yrs so I will have plenty to say. It is brilliant to have found a friendly place. Thankyou again Jane.

Jane, Isn't it cool to have grown up in the fifties!!! I loved the petticoats too, I certainly was jealous also of all he girls in their plaid dresses and pnik petticoats.
Glad you found this place and it's always nice to have a girl that is about the same age. I also have started to expeiment wigs and makeup.
I nternet would of helped us lot by finding out we were not so alone, would of been a little easier to accept ones self. Thanks for sharing and I look forward to your posts. Happy dressin, Keep smilin, keep dressin and keep postin.....Kristen

Hi Elandra my sister is turning out to be quite a surprise. Today she telephones to say she has told my sister-in-law who also reacted positively. She in turn told my brother and surprisingly got another favourable response. I am now realising how good a family I have and I have a feeling this will bring us closer. I think I may have seen the last of woolly socks at Christmas. What I am really looking forward to is a good girly chat with both women. Love Jane.
Sound familiar

Your beginnings sound just like mine. Only I don't have a sister to vent to. Good luck.

Hi Jane,
welcome to the forum

I really enjoyed reading your story, it must have taken alot of courage to open-up to your sister like that, and I am so pleased that your family are reacting positively. (I have managed to find the courage to tell my SO, but I don't think I could ever tell my "genetic" family, although I do have a bit of a theory about CDing running in families, but maybe more of that another time).
No more woolly socks at Christmas, well that's almost too good to be true!
Welcome and best wishes,
Katy-Jane

Hi Jane!

I was at school in the 1970s, and the female clothing wasn´t exactly very attractive in those days. Luckily I had my mothers wardrobe available and I could try on her panties and pantyhose. She also had some nice dresses but I didn´t have many chances to wear them. It´s so different nowadays when I have a full wardrobe of my own clothing! I love being a CD
