Hello! I recognize several friends from the previous forum, and am glad to have a chance to contribute. Jade Anne mentioned this group, and I've enjoyed looking at the posts.

I just found out that the novelty act that has employed me as a "girl guitarist" is going to continue into the new year, so I'm excited about that. The lead singer does a wonderful impersonation of Broadway diva Ethel Merman doing hard rock classics. I get to grind out Led Zep and Ted Nugent, while checking my hair in the mirror between numbers.

I think a high profile in entertainment is the way that any minority group advances and becomes visible, so I'm happy that I get to be a "frontwoman" for crossdressers and TG people in general.

I call myself a T-girl, though, because that phrase fits me better than any other. I'm not a "woman" yet, because I'm still going through my late adolescence In girl years, I'm only three.

I can see that ideas are being shared on here, and I'm looking forward to being part of it all.

Hi Anita,

Long time no hear. It's great to see a familiar name. Welcome to the forum! :) I hope you enjoy it here as much as I do. This is a great bunch of guys and gals (and everything in between)!

Girl, I'm impressed: not only are you an employed musician, you're an employed crossdressed musician... Way to go, Anita!

Again, welcome. And have fun.

Love,
CJ

Hi Anita and Welcome. I appreciated your recent post on the CDDF. :) I think you will find conversation on this forum more interesting, and certainly more varied.

Hi Anita,

It's great to see you on this forum!

I'm glad I mentioned it to you by email. I get a lot out of this forum and don't really miss the immaturity in some threads in other forums.

Welcome -wel- .

Thanks very much! I am happy to be combining two interests, and we will make some money at it. Doesn't let me quit my day job, but I'm just happy to be out there!

Hi Anita,

Welcome to the forum! Its such a thrill to meet someone who has performed with "The Ethel Merman Experience."

Maybe someday I will make it to SF in the fall for the Castro Street Fair.

Hugs,

Sharon Rose

Hi Anita!

Like you, I'm getting fed up with the trolls, spam, and so on on the CDDF. It's great to see you here!

Hello Anita,

Glad to have you here... it sounds like you lead an interesting life.... and Classic Rock, that is cool....

Led Zeplin and Ted Nuggent.... I personally prefer Ted over Robert "Loser" Plant and Jimmy "Over Rated" Page..... How about the Amboy Dukes.... now that is some cool music.... and how about Dave Edmonds, or Pink Floyd, or Queen, or Fleetwood "Pre-Stevie Nicks" Mac....

But I digress.... I am glad that you have joined our group... I hope you enjoy it.

Oh, I loved the old Amboy Dukes single "Journey to the Center of Your Mind." That and "Pictures of Matchstick Men," which came out about the same time... but we're getting away from wigs & heels and such. Good to see you again, Ms. Rikki! Thank you, Sharon and Shannon--you've put a great deal of work into this.

I expect to lose a few posts, trying to figure out the ropes. I have not used forums with this many bells and whistles before!
