Hello all!

My name is Paula. I'm 48. I live in the lower Hudson Valley (NY) with my wife of 14 years. No kids. Two dogs. I told my wife about my CDing before we were married.

After nearly 2 years of therapy (for CDing issues and other mental junk) I finally "came out" in Oct. 2003. I was a member of Tri-Ess (CDM chapter), but I no longer am. I go out (only from Oct thru April) to TG-friendly venues, so I am not "out" in the broad sense. Although I have told some friends and family members.

I am finally totally cool about my CDing, after years of anguish. My wife doesn't want to participate - or even see me dressed - but she understands how important it is to me, and how going out has made me a happier person, and a better husband. I am very happy with this arrangement.

I am a member of another message board (some of you might already know me just as "paula"), but it has gotten too political and overly analytical for me. I'm tired of analyzing - I understand myself inside-out. I am not political in the sense that I care to - or have the time to - get involved in TG social issues (although I am totally supportive).

I could go on and on, but that's all for now. I hope these boards will be more fun and "lighter" than what I am accustomed to!

Hi Paula! =D>

You´ve come to the right place, girl :) With us you don´t have to analyze if you don´t want to but we can go deep if one of us has serious issues.
Good to hear that your wife understands the importance of your crossdressing. I totally agree with you in that dressíng can make us better husbands because it relieves the stress and tension and because we finally can be who we really are.

Hi Paula-

Ditto on Donna and Joanna_S- welcome! :)
Glad to that you joined a fun gang over here! Lots less analysis, more on what to wear or tips on things. My wife feels about the same as yours; she is pretty accepting of some things and accomodating but doesn't want to participate.

Have fun!

Hi Paula,

I know I've seen you somewhere before and noticed the name, but I still can't piece it together. :)

Since you said, :shhh: I'll :shhh:. and not try to figure it out.

I have to say, I am already feeling very much at home here. There's a lot more happiness than at the other boards I frequented. Whew!

I get the sense that "serious" topics can be discussed here, but the lighter side - the fun side - of CDing is where the emphasis is.

Yay!

Paula-

Yes, it is a lot "lighter" over here as I'm sure you have already found out. :) There are also some serious threads and discussion too, but the emphasis is a little different than other boards. I prefer to participate in several boards to get broader perspectives. Again, welcome and have fun! 8)
As you know, YMMV.
