Maybe not. Around thirty years ago, I saw a program that described a study that indicated that it should be possible for a man to carry a baby from the egg through full term. Obviously, the fertilized egg would have to come from a woman and surgically placed inside the man's body. The lack of a uterus is the most serious problem, but extra-uterine pregnancies occur in women occasionally, and they are sometimes successful. The placenta, from which the embroyo derives sustenance is the embryo's organ, not the mother's. The three biggest problems are the surgery required to put the egg in a place that will not be harmful to the man, carrying the baby to term in an environment not designed for that purpose, and of course the delivery, which would have to be by C-Section.

The hormonal changes might need help, though I don't recall if this was covered in the program I saw. Anyway, maybe its true. Dangerous and selfish, but plausible.

Hi all...

A couple of questions popped into my head while reading this..

1) how many men have ever thought of what it would be like to get pregnant and then to carry to full term

2) how many men would actually want to go through it

If this was actually possible.. How many gg's think this would be a good idea.. I mean how many of us have I heard a gg's state "you dont know the meaning of pain until you go through child birth".. and then if we did.. "Oh now there's something else you have taken away from us!!". I know there would be for and against with this from both gender's.

But an other point which I can see several thoughts leading off this.. an example.. A gg' cannot get pregnant but it was possible for the man to become pregnant.. Would that be acceptable.. There is the thought of the "religious" aspect that it would not be "natural" and "against god" but isnt god supposed to be both male and female?. "made man in his image" man as in man kind.. sorry i'm getting a bit strayed there.. We have only the black and white words from a book to state god was a "man".,.why not an "it".. neither male or female..

Would a man going through pregnancy be seen as a relief to gg's who would want ot keep their figure's.. Vainity.. both gender's sufffer from it.

We.. well the scientist can clone animals.. it was not so long ago that cloning was only science fiction.. and now its a reality.. makes you wonder if it will be possible in the future :-k

There are many more aspects to this that i have not mentioned..

(I love it when it gets my mind racing.. even if my fingers cannot keep up..lol)

Ok you two egg carrying beings. Stop it right there. Just think about us sperm carrying beings for a moment. We have 250 million or more sperm in one load. Thats just one load! Gee. What are the chances of one getting in?Miracle? I think not!
I've wiped universes .........off my stomach........with a gray gym sock! When I was young I tossed entire civilizations.....into my Soupy Sales underpants.........while napping! Now ladies! That's a miracle! :) Big hugs

PS Credit to the late great Bill Hicks for that one! Great comic and no one knew who he was! I was waiting for an opening. I'm hopeless!

For an interesting fictional take on this topic, read the 1995 novel The Fourth Procedure by Stanley Pottinger. 8)
