What 5 albums could you not live without?
For me....
Elizium by Fields of The Nephilim. Still blows me away after 13 years.
The Queen Is Dead by The Smiths. They dont make music as good as this anymore.
Appetite For Destruction by Guns n Roses.Bring back hair metal!!
Mutter by Rammstein. The Germans arent just war-mongering, beer brewing, porn producing sausage eaters...they also make some good music.
The Bends by Radiohead. The album Coldplay want to make, but never will.

Rod Stewart greatest hits
Darkness
Kylie

BUT, if I could have only one album for the rest of my life it would be Avril Lavigne! I play that non-stop and still love it just as much as the first time I played it, if not more :)

Lorna, on that ministry albumn, would there be a song called Halloween? It's my theme song in life. I just have a bunch of tapes made for me by friends and Halloween is on one.

Not on that album, but I LOVE that song! Everyday Is Halloween... another one of my faves!! I love the beat, the lyrics, and my favorite line is...

"And I dress this way just to keep them at bay
Cause Halloween is Everyday!"

It's funny, that I was thinking about this very topic last night.

Led Zeppelin - The BBC Sessions (Contains, amongst other things, the very first live performance of "Stairway to Heaven", before the album was released. Unlike every later performance, there's no applause, no cheering, no tittering. You just get to hear them play. It's awesome.)

Nine Inch Nails - The Downward Spiral

U2 - Rattle and Hum

Dave Matthews Band - Under the Table and Dreaming

Sheryl Crow - Sheryl Crow (the second, untitled album)

If I could draw one more, it would be Seal's second album.

If I could have a sixth album choice: Prince - Purple Rain.

Whenever I listen to the song Purple Rain from that album (especially the long instrumental ending) I always get a little misty.

Why are our favorites our favorites? I'll tell you why: because our favorites are not just comprised of music that we just hear, but they are compilations of music that we feel.

Music is my drug... @@9@@

That's it! Our favorite music touches a place inside, and puts those feelings outside. It's a beautiful feeling when you can hear a song, and say, "This person put into music exactly what I'm feeling." Even better, is finding out that someone else shares that feeling.
