One ground rule gals. No fair going on a search engine with the info provided. That's cheating. I just came on after spending the last two nights assembleling a gas grill for the Warden. There where ten of you girls on. What's up? Did the malls close early? OK. Here goes.
This songwriter was born on December 5th 1938 and is known for being reclusive and avoiding the spotlight. You all have heard his songs that have been covered by such artists as, Larry Carlton,Eric Clapton,Santana, Deep Purple,John Mayhall and Lynyrd Skynyrd who made his song "Call me the breeze" a classic.
Born in Oklahoma City and raised in Tulsa he wrote Cocaine,Crazy Mama,After Midnight and many other great songs. The album "Naturally" released in 1971 has his original acoustic version of "Call me the breeze" and is just killer. One of my favorite guitar players and songwriters. Who is this person? Remember. No cheating!

The one and only J.J. Cale. He wrote some great songs and is still plugging away today. His acoustic version on Naturally of Call Me the Breeze has a very tasty acoustic guitar solo. Everyone has heard his songs but know one knows his name. That is a great way to live.
