Louie, Louie

Post by Carolynn »

Louie Lobster and Sam Clam were the greatest of friends. Ond day a drunken Captain ran a Supertanker aground right on top of them. Louie and Sam found themselves in the afterlife, but they discovered that they wouldn't be spending eternity together. Louie was destined for Heaven and Sam for Hell. St Peter separated the friends and ushered them to their places. Louie was given a harp and a halo while Sam was shoved into an elevator and sent Down.

Louie enjoyed the blissfullness of Heaven but found that he was troubled by missing Sam so he petitioned St Peter for permission to visit Sam in Hell. Peter was resistant but eventually relanted. Louie would have exactly 24 hours to visit Sam but he had to be careful in Hell and not forget that he was only a visitor. If he left anyting behind he'd forever be in Satan's power.

The day of the visit dawned and Louie got into the elevator for the ride down. It seemed to take forever until the doors opened and a Devil appeared to guide him. Since he was a visitor he got the VIP treatment. Louie was taken to Sam where he found that his friend had been transformed. Sam was a successful business owner in Hell, running a Casino, Dancehall, Theatre, Bar and Disco. Sam explained that businesses catering to sin were very big in Hell, and he was doing quite well. Sam treated Louie to a teriffic reunion party, introducing him to all his new friends and employees.

Louie had a wonderful time and the 24 hours passed in an eyeblink. Just before his time was up, Louie sprinted for the elevator, arriving just as the doors were closing. Louie sagged in relief as the elevator started up, then noticed a lack. "Oh no! he exclaimed "I left my harp in Sam Clam's Disco!"
