Has this ever happened to you?

Last Saturday was my monthly Kappa Beta function. Before going out, I carefully transfer items from my male wallet to my female wallet and/or purse: ID, check card, insurance card, cash, etc. When I return from any outing, as a part of undressing, I return said items to my male wallet.

I have recently returned to working 10-hour shifts at work, so this means my weekends are three days long. I was off Saturday-Monday, and I was determined to get the most out of the occasion. I'd decided that I was going to go out shopping or something on Sunday, so I left everything in my purse. Well, as it happened, I worked Friday night, and I wasn't able to get to bed before I went out again. When I finally returned late Saturday night, I was beat.

I took just enough time to undress and take off my makeup before crawling into bed and sleeping about eight hours. I crawled out of bed just long enough to use the bathroom and eat before returning to bed, where I slept another eight or ten hours. I was that tired.

I didn't get back out until Monday afternoon, when I went to Northlake Mall and did a little shopping. I bought a black lace cami from Torrid and burned another CD for myself at Borders.

To make a longish story short, I returned home and put everything back into my wallet (I thought). Tonight (Thursday), I called the local pizza place from work to order dinner. I told them I'd be paying cash. Thirty minutes or so later, the delivery guy shows up, and I realize that I left my cash in the other wallet. I had to call the store and give them my check card number. Ai ya, as they say.

No, never happened. I use the same wallet in either mode.

So, why didn't you just get the cash for the pizza out of your other wallet?

jaye,

I had a similar OOPs. I was going on a trip abroad for work, and happened to dress and go out the night before I left. I forgot to put my driver's license back in my male wallet, and when I went to rent the car when I landed in Tel Aviv, no driver's license. I had to take taxis and trains throughout the whole trip.

Because I was at work, and the other wallet was in my purse, hanging over the bathroom door knob (at home).
