I came out of the closet to my SO about 6 months ago. Since then I have ordered some things like make-up, heels, nylons etc. She has seen me with painted toes a couple of times and in nylons but that's it until yesterday. I had woken up pretty early and was a bit bored so I decided I would look through her clothes and see if she happened to have skirts remaining from when she was bigger. My SO is tiny so I doubted I would find anything but was curious. I actually did find two of them.

I opened up a pair of sheer elegance and slid them up my legs. I tried on one of the skirts and found it fit quite well. I then put on my 4 inch heels and walked around the house a bit.

When she awoke she found me like this. SHe said "wow" that skirt actually looks good on you. It looks better on you than it ever did on me. She than asked " What made you pick that one".I explained that I like the cut and the material. She laughed and said I think we have one problem that does concern me. I asked "what's that?" with much concern. She chuckle and said "Well you have champagne tastes, thats the most expensive skirt in my closet and it cost over 200 dollars." OOOPS.

She then reassured me I could have it but we need to talk before I invest in clothes....I kept it on for about another two hours as she went through her closet with me and found another skirt and gave it to me as well. I tried it on and it fit well, she just laughed........Silk Calvin Klien, she then said yeah we are in trouble Tina has very expensive taste.

My SO then thanked me for sharing with her and explained she was not sure how she was going to deal with me in a dress or a skirt but said I pull it off so well that it doesn't bother her at all. She also stated she is not ready to see the full make up thing yet however, likes the pace I have in showing her a little at a time.

Congratulations, Tina! Like you, we have "Champagne tastes on a beer budget!" Just remember, keep the lines of communication open, and baby steps, honey, baby steps!!

Way to go Tina and way to go your SO too!! Great start, and as SilverLady said, take it slowly and try not to get too excited (at least not outwardly) just yet. Let her share in leading the way and see where it goes. Keep us posted on how things go and welcome to the forum.

Well the other night we had a long talk. It's amazing what you find out when the lines of communication open. It turns out one of her fears is that she would lose my male self to Tina. In other words when as Tina she was afraid I would not show her the same sort of love I do now. She assumed that I wanted to go out alone and be by myself and it was just another thing that will occupy my already limited time between my job and doing the yard work and riding my motorcycle etc.

What she didn't even realize is that I was more concerned about her accepting me as Tina. I would rather her be apart of Tinas life and not be doing something seperate. I told her that I only wanted to go out as Tina alone because I didn't think she would want to witness me en femme. After explaining to her that I wanted her to love me the same dressed or not we realized we both had the same concern and did not realize it. It came down to she does want to be a part of Tinas life and I want her apart of mine. I just want to be loved and accepted like anyone else. She was just concerned I would not love her the same when as Tina.............funny but a valuable lesson. Do not pre judge what you may think your SO is thinking you might be way off base.

SInce then we went shopping at some second hand stores and she even took the pictures that are in my gallery now. It's been great. She even told me not to worry we will get me a wig really soon, as I was not comfortable not being complete dressed up, she was also impressed withmy make-up....she expecxted MIMI from Drew Carey..........she didn't get it

Tina, that's great! It truly is amazing what good communication can accomplish. Just remember, there's no need to rush things. You've had your whole life to deal with this. Your SO has only had a few months. Give her breathing room when she needs it.

I thought Missy was going to freak the other day when I said she hadn't dressed in a while and did she want to!! We've settled in to a marvelous even deeper relationship than we had before.

As you can see I went with the change in name.

We invited a few in the Charlotte area for a tea party at our home. 4 Cds showed up and we had a good time. My So enjoyed meeting them all and they were able to answer alot of things that she was wondering about. It was so much fun and we look forward to getting together with others in the future. We don't know alot of people in the area as it is so its always nice to make new friends Cd or otherwise, we don't care what you wear as long as your not naked! No offense to any nudists in the group........lol.
