Can't quite figure this out...

Hey girls,

Well, another day of crossdressing for me even though I told myself I wouldn't dress and fight this urge. Well, the woman inside me won and here I am as Victoria wearing a short black skirt, cute gray v-neck sweater top, pantyhoes, heels, make up and all. I look cute

But I need your girls help on perfecting my make up! I can do my make up very good except for one thing! I can't cover this beard shadow! I have Mac cover up foundation and I have powder. I tried dabbing red lipstick to make it offset the blue tone. Doesn't seem to work too well. Maybe I am doing it wrong??? Do any of you girls know how I can hide my beard shadow?

There must be a shaving tech. I am doing wrong. Also, there has to be a way to put make up on that will make it better or maybe a better type of make up?? Any suggestions on how to make my beard shadow go away??? Maybe a link on how to do this?

Also, does anyone know if adhesive breasts come off easily? I may get some. Do I pull them off me or use water? Anyone know?

Hi Victoria,

There are products to hide beard shadow. The most extreme I know is called Dermablend which, I believe, comes in a creme with a setting powder. It's made to not rub off. This is definately needed for those with dark hair. If your hair is lighter, you may just need a more opaque foundation. I would suggest trying the Max Factor Pan stick in the appropriate shade. You can get details on covering the beard on http://www.yvonnesplace.net/head_toe/groundwork.html or many other sites, mostly ones that deal with crossdressing. Your sisters have posted a lot of information.

Make sure that you start with a smooth shave.

Breast form attachment (or removal)

Well, ease of removal depends on how well you want to attach them.

There are some forms made to attach using velcro. These require you to attach the loop side of a velcro piece to your chest. The hook side of the velcro is on the form. This does allow easy removal and if you can hide the piece on your chest can be easily reattached as desired. (I never had much luck with these. and I don't know if they were really desiged to go bra-less, if that is what you want.)

There are some forms with an adhesive on the back which are mostly to keep them from moving too much in a bra. I don't think these were made for going bra-less.

Many places that sell breast forms sell double sided tapes, and often include a supply with your first purchase. These are very strong adhesive tapes and I think probably work well with smaller breasst forms but with me being a big person, they did not work as well as I expected, or I didn't use enough of them on the form.

My favorite is medical adhesive (I use Hollisters spray). However, you definately should be committed to wearing the forms for awhile. I don't suggest using it for just a few hours (1-2). Medical adhesive should be removed with an adhesive remover. If you "peel" them off you risk some pain to your skin and doing so could damage the form. How well the forms stay on depends on preparation (shaving and removing skin oils), and how much adhesive you use. I don't thoroughly coat the form with adhesive when I put on my forms, usually put it around the edges. I find that I can go about a day and a half before they come loose, which I think is caused by the growth of chest hair.

Yes, I have used dermablend in the past (before I purged it away). It works well but it still shows the shadow. I must not be doing a smooth shave. The red undertone works a little bit but not enough, again maybe it is the shaving.

As for the breast forms. I am going to get them on ebay. Size 34C, attachable nipple and the breast form adhesive is in the back (I assume you peel off the plastic that protects it). So once that is on, I plan on wearing it for almost a day. How would you take that off?

I don't have personal experience with that type of adhesive form. They probably include some instruction on removing them. Of course, you could e-mail the seller in advance to find out how they are removed.

The beard thing can be a real pain....

I went looking a while back, and found a process that works for me. My beard wasn't too heavy, that has a lot to do with it as well.

Shaving close is extremely important -- put warm to hot towel on your face for a while--3-4 minutes...open pores and lets you get closer I guess. Then a good lubricating shave cream. Then shave normal direction, then across the graon then against the grain, until you don't feel stubble at all.

Then take a towel with cold water and put on your face...helps close the pores. Use whatever to deal with the nicks.

Let your face settle down after that aggrevation for 15 minutes.

The red lipstick thing is ok...but you need to mix it with some yellow concealer stick (maybelline, or any brand)--trying to get a mix that somewhat resembles your face tone-----the red and yello both are needed to negate the blue. I usually put it on relatively thick...then pat off excess as it dries for a lighter look. Then I have sometimes put dermablend on over that -- that conceals everything the best.

Last little hint -- once you put on foundation, use the next lighter powder for the beard areas, and regular powder for the rest. That seems to make a significant difference as well.

Now all that being said, about 9 months ago I started a permanent hair removal...there is another thread going about that..but after 5 treatments, I am currently almost beard free with no blue. Its a technology called intense pulsed light. Reasonably priced -- about $125-150 per treatment. I probably have 2-3 more to go for final cleanup. Today, wore light fondation only---perfect!

I guess I'm with the majority with putting on a little bit of eye liner, mascara, some shadow and some lipstick and gloss. If I have the time and the ambition I do a lot more to try for "perfection" but for the most part I try to look as natural as I can, with not too much of anything.

less is more, I wear as little as I can get away with for what I'm doing, lip gloss always, but that is a weather deal to keep my lips moist.

I do not like to Cake it on, but it some times looks like that after I do all of the cover-up. My wife has taught me how to do the smokey eye look and that is often when I try for when going out at night. The gammed up look is one I have yet to try. For day outings I try to keep things lighter. I did do just a bit of foundation and lipstick once which was a light makeup up look, but my beard shadow was visible. Natural would be great except for my dark beard shadow.

But my true self is really no makeup and this is what I do at home when I get to dress more feminine. I am a guy and all of this makeup and hair stuff is a pain. I do makeup for going out to hide my male identity.

In my ultimate world I would wear little to no makeup on a daily basis. And mostly for more formal or dressy occasions. Daily would be maybe lipstick with some days maybe mascara and hint of eye color. But most days would be no makeup, just the mix of masculine and feminine clothes I wanted or needed to wear for the day.

I never use any makeup. Probably has to do with the fact that my mom never uses any and my sister didn't start till high school. Then it was only a little and I never noticed. Most females I see look good with none or just a slight amount. The heavy make up looks so,.......
