Thigh-Highs are back????

I just called the Lane Bryant store here in Abilene and Kim said she does not have them in stock. That we could order them off the internet.

So what it is worth I pass it along. Your Lane Bryant store may not either. So you may want to call before driving there.

PS--I've been trying to find them here in town and still not yet.

I FOUND THEM!!! HOORAY!

The only place I was able to locate them since I began my search here in town was at the "super" Walmart store on the south (rich) side of town. But with the assistance of a darling young lady in the ladies department, I FOUND them and will be wearing them tomorrow when I go to church.

I think it was the late 70's when I first bought thigh highs and started wearing them. I find them a lot more comfortable than pantyhose and a heck of a lot cooler in the summer. Granted some are better than others but I have never had any problems finding them, Hanes is always available at Macy's and both Sears and Penney's have their own brands. Granted there are times and outfits that dictate pantyhose but for an old lady like me who goes for longer skirts most of the time thigh highs work well.

To tell the truth I prefer thigh highs as pantyhose are a pain in the horse when it comes to the bathroom. As Deidre said there are times when pantyhose are a must .

I also love the thigh highs.Especially with a garter belt. The hose with the elastic band have a tendency to leave a red welt type rash on my thighs when I wear them for any length of time. 8 hours or so. I have found Thigh Highs at Wal-mart with garters and both kinds of hose. Its a hit and miss though at which stores you'll find them.

I wore my thigh highs today for the first time and I LOVE THEM. They were easier to slip into and much cooler than panty hose. Yet, I admit also, I felt a bit naked underneath--not having any covering between them and my panties. So it was a bit different, shall I say, for me. All the years prior to my 24/7 CDing, I had worn panty hose and so I am used to them. And I've wanted some thigh highs but have never found any to fit me until a few days ago (mentioned in my post above).

So I went out in them today with my blue print skirt and new blue print blouse and my heels. And, I love 'em. I think I will be wearing them a lot more than panty hose now if I can continue to find a pair to fit me. Well, maybe until winter time gets here....hehehe
