I suppose we all have something we like to wear just because we feel at home in it.

The night before last when I was pulling my RV camper through WY I was hit by a truck. Nothing too serious for me, but I'm stranded in the hotel here until I make arrangements for repairs, insurance, and temporary transportation. I was a bit disorganized after the crash and didn't pack a good selection of outfits, but I was smart enough to grab my favorite little blue cotton dress. And I'm glad I did, because just having it on makes dealing with everything a little bit easier. It's not the nicest, or prettiest, or anything, but it is versatile, practical and comfortable.

You didn't mention being injured, so that's a good thing.

I don't think I have a particular outfit that I would deem to comfy. They all seem to be.

I like lounging around the house in pantyhose, capri length leggings (usually black), ballerina flats and matching top. Very comfy, and good for working on my motorcycles out in the garage.

Does house frump come to mind? At home I'm usually in stretch pants, a tee and probably a sweater. It is an outfit no one should wear in public. It's my comfy if I'm not going to be in my nightgown.

nylons, all the time. i'd never take them off but somehow got a run while sleeping in bed!

ohhhh, nothing more depressing than a run in a nice pair of nylons.

Replace the leggings with a knee-length skirt, and that would be my ideal outfit to relax en femme. By and large, though, my favourite comfort clothes are a scaled-down male equivalent of that ensemble: T-shirt, comfortable pants, and a jumper or thin jacket if it's cold, with socks and runners if I'm going outside.

I have a few things I like to wear when I'm not planning on getting all dolled up. I bought a dress a few months ago that just didn't do anything for me once I got home and trued it on. But the favric was so nice and sensuous so now it is my "shift" of choice. I wear it like a nightie now and for just lounging around.

I also buy those pantyhose at Wal-Mart. Their own cheap brand...4 pairs for 5 bucks or something like that. I will slip those on with a flirty skirt and top sometimes.

What is it about being able to dress in a strange or unfortunate place that makes it so different? At least, that is the way I feel.

A girl's clothing can be so cumbersome or so simple when traveling. I stuff the LBD somewhere, when I go, regardless of whom I am with or why. Nice planning with your little blue dress. Wearing cotton sounds even better. I echo the sentiments about not being injured (hopefully).

Breath deeply and, echoing the sentiment above, if you haven't already done so, get over to Wallmart and buy panty hose. That and the ballet shoes make it for me.

Sorry hon Wal-Mart stockings are at the bottem of the barrel, I go on line and get good stocking in nude and sheer as they come.

I have to agree with Carol, no Walmart clothes for this girl. And I really hate cheap nylons that get all stretched out and saggy the first time you wear them.

Travelling with girl clothes instead of guys........... well I can fit about 6 outfits into the space needed for guys jeans and a shirt. On the other hand, a guy would only take 1 pair of jeans and 1 shirt, and not wear 6 outfits
But I like having my favorite clothes with me when I'm travelling, it makes the whole process seem less stressful.

Sorry about the WalMart reference. Actually, I'm not sure I have been in a WalMart in the past five years. None down here. K-mart, yes. I buy my panty hose in the States when I am there. Usually a convenient drug store. Nice posts all.

I love shopping for cloths there as they carry a much nicer line of outfits and the dressing rooms are alway open and no question ask.
