Waist training???

Anyone else gone down this path or thinking of it? I am and am looking at a number of corsets to train in. I've been in contact with Orchard Corsets and they have been very friendly, helpful and receptive of me being a CD. I'm sold on them just by the interaction I've had with them, nothing like being treated like a human and not some freak of nature.

Hey Amanda, I think if you search for "corset" or "waist training" I think you'll find some lively treads. Hugs, Alisa

Alisa, I did search the threads before posting and many good reads.
I just ordered two corsets and I can hardly wait to get them.
What did you order Kimberly?

Amanda,
Can't wait to hear about how they are... hoping for some pictures. What did you buy? I have a corset from Frederick's of Hollywood - not very good - so will be interested to hear your experience.
Hugs,
Alisa

Corsets from Fredrick's is much like everything else they sell, sexy to a man's eye, uncomfortable for the woman to wear. There are well made corsets, even for a man's torso. Custom made one's will be costly.
That elusive hour glass figure!

How true Eileen! Then again isn't a little discomfort along the journey worth the destination?

I ordered two, a CS-411, in light pink satin and a CS-201 in black satin. This of course was after a good chat, many measurements with one of their online experts. Very helpful in picking out the right size for a fit. I really liked their attention to detail on fit.
I have had a corset or two from Fredrick's and now have a few other corsets from other places, but they are eye candy and not what I consider a real corset... but still sexy!

Oh no, Diana Michelle. Binding one's feet went away long ago. So too, uncomfortable corsets.
Good for you, Amanda! Waist training requires wearing the corset all your waking hours. Two of our girlfriends do this, one buys custom made ones at several hundred dollars each. To compensate, she buys the wife lots of nice things too.

I plan to wear one all the hours of the day I can. I will surly be wearing one at least 18 hours a day if not more.

So you're actually waist training instead of merely holding in the tummy? I looked at the styles you bought, they don't seem too frightening.

My only experience with corsets involved Bridesmaid dresses, not fitted properly and uncomfortable. One time only was one comfortable all night . Some were under bust styles and meant to hold in the jiggle, not for training.
The two friends I mentioned wear a full length corset. They enjoy the sense of support and feel undressed without them. They must work in offices with A/C.

If you are truly interested in corsets this may help. Yes it contains links to retailers so take some of what you read with a brain of salt. Still it seems well written and to be honest after reading it I know more about corsets than I ever wanted to.

Lighten up Eileen!

My reference to the destination had nothing to do with waist training.

Men are visual creatures and there is nothing wrong with feeding that need from time to time.

Received my corsets today. Very pleased with the prompt service and quality of the product.
Eileen, during my waking hours, I do try and work on posture and when your body is this old it has a memory of it's own. lol
Diana, thanks for the link, I will check it out.
Some of us a different likes and love of attire. Shoes, hose, garters and corsets tend to make me happy.
