Morning Ladies...

First of all let me say that I am not sure if it is the right name, but I am looking for a custom made "hairpiece".

With "hairpiece" I am referring to a partial piece of hair to (semi permanently) add only in the front of my face to cover my forehead.

Does someone have some experience on this topic? I have updated my avatar to the current one showing my hair, or better, lack thereof.

I like to get bangs to cover my hairline and shorten the forehead, but my own hair is not sufficient to accomplish this.

Thx. Erin

Sorry, don't have the experience you require, but I see you're on HRT. Doesn't this affect male pattern boldness? Maybe you can go ahead and get hair implants and they would actually be permanent. I think that's a question for your Endocrinologist. Why get anything temporary if you can get your hair done once and never worry about it again?

Yes the only permanent option for the hairline is implant... However I am using Rogaine, as prescribed by my Endo, but that's to prevent and regrow the male baldness on top of my scalp only, and indeed the hormones will eventually stop the male pattern balding.

But hair transplant surgery.... expensive... for now... I need my money for the "other surgery".

oops forgot about the other surgery. Sorry.

Okay, I know that some wig shops cater to people who lose their hair from cancer treatments and whatever else. They will not be cheap, but they should have the skill set to help with what you are looking for since they are in the job of restoring some normalcy to the customer. You will not be any less special than their other customers.

I have indeed found some online custom wig shops, specialist in cancer treatments. Perhaps I should carefully ask them. Thx.
