I used to wear ankle bracelets over my pantyhose so you could see it. But I've ruined many pairs of hose that way so I now wear the bracelet under the hose. I guess that's the proper way to wear them anyway.

Interesting, I would have thought that wearing it outside would prevent less of a problem. I have a coupleof toe rings and I know they go inside the hose Be intereseted to see how other girls wear ankle bracelets.

I've ruined many hose too. I like wearing anklets, but it just brings me to tears when they rip my hose. I just read your post... Why didn't I try putting them inside? I will, and I'll let you know how I like it.

At the two polar extremes of hosiery wearing, you certainly would want to wear an ankle bracelet outside the hosiery. At one extreme, the bracelet would not be visible through opaque hosiery; at the other extreme, the bracelet would make the fact that you were wearing hosiery quite obvious—and unwanted—if you were wearing sheer hosiery in a neutral shade, trying to simulate a “bare legs” look. For in-between cases, it would be a matter of taste, but mine would be to wear a bracelet on the outside.

I wear my ankle bracelet on the ouside of my hose every day. Jewelry is to enhance ones beauty and how can you enhance the beauty of your leg if you hide the bracelet under your hose, I wear hose almost every day and wear one of my ankle bracelets every day. I am 51 and have thought I was to old to wear ankle bracelets in public. I had an idea that they were only appropriate for young women and girls?

Over the hose for me (or even tights). It's just something I always take notice of when I look at a woman. Toe rings look alright of other girls but I prefer not to wear them.

Most women I see wearing them wear them under - you'll never lose an expensive gold chain that way. Yes this is not recommended for opaque hose and generally makes a person stand out a bit moe so if you are trying to pass it would not be best to put flashy bling on the ankle.

Well I've always worn my anklet on the outside and that is for at least 5yrs., I've been wearing toe rings for about 3 yrs., but they are alway on the inside............Hugs Lynn

I'm with Curly, I only ever wear in the summer with bare legs.
