Hi girls,

A while ago I got some white pumps from online (along with some black ones and light pink) but I can't seem to wear the white ones as they seem to clash with the few outfits I have. They looked so good online, too before I ordered them. What color outfits (i.e. dress or skirt/blouse colors) would go with white pumps? Most of the outfits I have are darker colored and they just don't seem to "look right" when I hold them next to the shoes. I'm trying to learn more fahion all the time but I need advice. Thanks.

A very light pink outfit "could" go with white shoes, but you'd have to wear a lot of white accessories. I have a pair of white pumps and the only outfits that go with it are white.

I'm really interested to see if others have opinions about this. I'd love to visualize outfits with white pumps other than white outfits, but I can't see anything in my mind other than something pink?

I wear mine with a black or blue skirt and a white blouse. Black (or blue) and white always go together especially when the pumps match the blouse. Just don't wear dark hose, tan or nude works.

I agree with DonnaT's advice, especially avoiding dark hosiery, but I will expand on it a bit.

I have white pumps and In addition to going with white tops, think they can go well with light colored outfits, especially floral prints.

My wife usually evaluates my choices and says that I coordinate accessories pretty well.

I suggest that you experiment combining the femme clothing that you have. There are no fashion police that are going to knock down your door and haul you off to style court for wearing non-coordinating shoes.

I hope you get the maximum enjoyment from the femme items you have and build your wardrobe choosing items that go with what you already have for a greater number of choices.

I watched the Journey Separate Ways music video again last night. The female that keeps appearing is wearing white pumps, coffee hose, a black above the knee leather skirt, a white leather jacket with a hint of white/pattern blouse. 70's hair & makeup. The shoes do go with the coat but with the skirt there is a contrast.

My very shoe conscious wife says that you should never wear white shoes after Labor Day! Enjoy them soon!
