Jodi Grace is not a big woman, only 5 feet 2 with a proportionate
size 7 shoe. But like the market she is addressing, she knows people
with big feet.

"When a woman has big feet, all her friends and family know it,"
said Grace, who in October opened Big Foot, a store that caters to
women needing large shoes.

Excerpt: But Grace also wants more of the cross-dressing/transgender
market. She expected it and researched to prepare for it but hasn't
seen as many customers as she hoped.

She suspects it's because that community is disorganized, so word
hasn't gotten out yet. It will soon, though, she said, because she's
already getting referrals from some men she has helped.

I know if I lived in the area that I would go have a look around. Not that I have very large feet but their big enough LOL.

Hello all: I think that concept would do very well in the Washington, D.C. area.
I've worn women's shoes and boots in sizes ranging from 9 to 11; my default size (if circumstances do not permit "trying on") is "10."
I appreciate that the owner of this store is aware of and wants to help the TG community and hope she does well.

We're in exactly the same boat, and I think we can count ourselves lucky that many stores have inventory in our size. Not all the girls here are so fortunate! I just picked up a delightful pair of boots over the holidays that are very snug indeed. I wound up in a size 11 instead of my usual 10 and was pleasantly surprised that they carried them that large. I guess they fit everyone a little tighter than the typical shoe so they just happened to carry larger sizes.

Ditto here, 10s will usually fit me, but some brands/styles require an 11. And most of the time I don't have a problem finding the size in the style/brand I want, perhaps due to it appearing that there are more taller women these days that have slightly larger average sizes than years ago.

Must be nice. I wear a womans 12 and have found a few sites that carry them and usually the same manufacturer. I have narrowed my browsing to the few I know and dont overly price for the same product.

Most standard retailers dont deal in 12 so if you see one let me know
