Inexpensive Breast Form Adhesive

I have found a low cost alternative to the messy spray adhesive and expensive strips sold through the Breast form dealers.
I purchased 4 sheets of "sandwiched" adhesive that are 12" x 12" for a couple dollars. The adhesive is sandwiched between two layers of plastic film and scrapbookers use it to paste things into their scrapbooks.
I cut out a piece the shape of my forms and Wallah! Went braless for hours. The best thing was the fact that at the end of the day the adhesive is easy to remove and did not leave any residue on the forms or on me.

You've raised my interest.
Did you purchase the sheets at an office supply store or craft and hobby?
And does it have a specific name?
Thanks in advance for the info.

Make sure your forms are meant to take the adhesive. I have 3 different sets and none of them did well with any form of glue or tape. I gave up on adhesives, at least till i get the right brand that are designed specifically for tape and glue. I almost ruined mine ($170.00).
Sorry for Digging up an old thread

Has anyone come up with "other" adhesives that are easily found and wont ruin latex forms? I have a pocket bra but want to go bra less in this amazing dress I got.
Thanks Girls

The Beastform Store sells a double sided tape along with a tacky prep wipe, and WOW do they work! I've also found the double sided tape at a local costume/joke store under the name Skin-Tac.
Clean all surfaces with rubbing alcohol, and you'll ba amazed. The forms themselves, however, may not be stout enough to survive. Tape need not be removed from forms, as a good alcohol cleaning will enable several layers to be applied, which strengthens the backs.
Worth a try, guaranteed!

I concur Kimberly, the tape and prep from the Breast Form Store work great --- IF YOUR FORMS ARE DESIGNED TO BE TAPED!" "Pals" forms are NOT made to take adhesives.
The tape and prep from the Breast Form Store work and I can assure you that mine have "been put through their paces" so to speak. The tape does one other thing - it gets into your pocketbook! My wardrobe has grown substantially by not having to wear a bra. Sure improves the variety of clothing you can wear!!!
Just a bit of advise too - keep you and your forms in the same zip code!

I don't usually tape or glue mine on but I do have a set of mastectomy forms that are made for swimsuits. They are much lighter than silicon and I have had success using double-stick carpet tape on them. I use the stronger version of the two available at the local store. These forms are covered in fabric so taking the tape off them was relatively easy. It even comes off my skin with not to much difficulty. I have not tried any glue on my other forms I think they are just to heavy.

I use medical adhesive (Hollister #7730) and have had excellent luck with that...just a little spray around hte edges (mainly the top and upper sids) and I'm good for the day. Ihave worn them for 2 -3 days straight, but dont recommend going more than 1 to 2 days (Especially in summer) because of sanitary issues between your skin and the forms. It costs $20 for a can through amazon but the can lasts a long time.

My new Gold Seal forms fromt the BFS are great. I received free tape strips with my forms. Twice now I have used the tape to bond my forms to my chest. WOW does it make a difference. Bonded to your chest, they feel even more realistic.

Hi girls,
I have brought it up before but I use "Duro" adhesive spray that I buy at Walmart. It's $3.78 I think. It's water soluable and can last days. One spray can lasts quite a while, sometimes several months. I have been using it for three years as I keep my breastforms on 24/7. Never any rash or other side effects. It appears to be the same adhesive used on bandaids and the like, although I make no claim that it's safe. Use at your own risk.
Do make sure you have have breastforms that are made to glue on, because I have damaged the other kind getting the residue off. Having said that, wearing my beastforms everyday, all day, I don't really have to deal with the residue buildup all the time. The double layer back allows one to get it wet and rub the adhesive off.
Hope that helps.
Love always,
Elizabeth
