lazor hair removal

Post by Stephenie G »

Hello everyone , i was hoping i could get a response from you girls that have had lazor hair treatment done . Such as, is it as permanant as they claim ?, how much more than waxing does it hurt ?, would you recommend getting it done? . I'm seriously considering for my self to get my back done . The spa were i get my waxing done has been doing it now for about 3yrs & keep asking if its something i would consider. Two things caught my attention right away was you shave first & then they lazor ,which is one thing i hate about waxing is hair has to be long enough to pull & for me its good for about 5-6weeks a best at about $45month , the second was the price as 3 times a year they have a special price but you have to pay for 6 treatment at once & get two free. The normal for back is $160 per treatment but special is $95 per treament so it would cost$570 instead of 1280 for 8 treatments. So any comments would be a appreciated ,plus any questions you think i should ask the lazor techs .thank you Stephenie g

I have a few spots (forearms mostly) where the laser didn't do as good a job, but my legs, and back turned out wonderfully. It's been over three years now, and I get waxed once every few months to remove what little problems areas remain. I recommend you ask them for referrals from previous laser epilation customers, and let them tell you how it's worked for them. The single most important factor in performing laser epilation is knowing how high to set the power and how long it's on. That only comes with education and experience.

Go for it, and good luck!

Hi Stephanie,

Ok, I'm having a lot of laser done. One of the larger franchises and the only one I found that guarantees all hair removed after their treatments, usually 6 or more. (I'll check with Silverlady to see if I can post the url). I pay for a package. I'm in the middle of these packages: full beard/face, full brazilian, bikini line, butt, full stomach, full chest and my underarms. I've had 1 treatment for my face, 4 for most except butt and underarms only 3 times. It stings the most on my genitals and mustache. Everywhere else it is a piece of cake. It gets better each time as there is less hair each time.

I've been able to barter each time on packages. They say 40% off, I say no, how about 60% and we go from there. Once, when I did my chest I said add underarms and butt for free. It should have been a chunk but I got it for another 100.00.

There are different types of laser, some types will not get rid of white or gray hair. The laser I have done will, more on this on the website, and they guarantee it.

Hope that helps.

Carla,

Sorry, I posted over your thread! Anyway, are you using the American Laser Center program?

As I posted I am "in negotiations" with them right now, I just don't relish the 3 1/2 hour drive, one way, to Richmond to get the treatments. but what' a girl to do!!!???

You say that "they" can remove light, blond or even gray hair???? If that is true, I am in!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks,

Love ya,

Virginia

are you using the American Laser Center program?
Yes I am go here: http://www.americanlaser.com/
As far as the 3 hour drive, my sessions are 8-9 weeks apart. Once i have a session it takes about 2 weeks for the hair to work themselves out, then I am very smooth for about 3 weeks, next more hair starts coming in.

Hair grows in cycles, hence the 6-8 sessions. America Laser sells packages, so once you pay, say for my chest, if it take 10 sessions or 6, no extra cost because they guarantee it.

And yes, gray hair, blond hair, they say it will remove it and it is in their guarantee.

This is from their FAQ page:
Is laser hair removal suitable for everyone?
At American Laser Centers we customize your laser hair removal treatment to exactly match your hair and skin color and type. As long as there is some color in your hair (even blond hair has enough color), then our laser hair removal system will be effective.
