Seems kinda quiet

I have been noticing that there are few posts in the topics, but the chat seems well used. In fact, at te bottom of the page, it is noted that there were 91 people online, all of course when I was snoozing, or trying too. Pretty cool to see that folks like to chat.

I checked this and it seems that most of those "users" were search engine bots which scan the articles we write. At any one time there are normally circa 10 of these programs looking around here. They cannot see the hidden fora such as the one for Member Announcements of Joy, Hope and Sadness which are only visible to members.

I am somewhat paranoid about such things but so far I have not seen any harm in allowing this. It is one way people find us in the first place.

I for one enjoy chatting during the day as lot's of old friends show up and we all chat about a lot more then you can post.

I have the impression it's been pretty quiet for a bit too. I also have the idea that not having new members tends to reduce the vivacity of any forum. Whether the two are interrelated I don't know, but I do feel that 3 and a half months is a long time to have practically no-one new coming and it's bothering me.

New blood, new ideas, new help, new folks to help. Just how is the "fix" going? I find it quiet as well.

I pretty much gave up on the Pettipond chat that I started with years ago because there was no one to talk to. I was reluctant to give it up, but it too had no new blood and the few of us had pretty much beat every horse to death more than once.

And thank you everyone for being here.

Other Forums and sites like facebook give more freedom to speak and exchange info.. Sites that suppress ideas usually die out, sites that delete threads that show people's true nature will end up dying. Why come to a forum that censors speech when one can go to one that speaks freely.

Also the posts here are boring, that will kill a site as well.

Having a sense of freedom to say what is important to you is a reason for sites like this. Here I have the oppertunity to share a part of my life that remains secret to others. I agree with having limits on sexual content, because there other sites that will titillate you if that is what you are looking for. I for the most part look for conversation that causes me to think about who I am and why I am the way I am. At times things can get sexual in nature, but from my prospective, I don't want to get expicit. Yes, I have joined in the talk about what color are the panties that you are wearing, but more from the point of, I am not an interloper, see I am one of you also. The real heart of the point is that I am not interested in what you bought today at the store, but why and how you dealt with the clerks, shopkeepers that you came in contact with. It is these things that help me to understand myself and cope with how I will approach a shopkeeper for assistance. I would love to get a proper bra fitting, but fear of the unknown, or how to go about it are more important to me than how you just love this new lacy bra that you got.
If anything needs to be said, then we need to have a freedom to say it, we just need to control ourselves to keep it from getting to explicit. That is the difficult part, because for some of us being a CD is more sexual than it is for others.

Yes when "moderators" and "administrators" begin to chat/share with some and not all. When that occures certain "groups" are formed, and good communicates stop in both chat and responses to forum ideas.

Just IMHO!

Most groups and boards die out anyway.
Glad this is a serious group and most forget in time all is told:)
Thats why shopping is so nice , to find all that gems.
Other point is that if somebody wants a sexflavored chat. And if its asked and and more like that ideaThe mod could make a closed forum . Give new meaning to hot topic

Hi, Blon -

The owners of this forum will never permit that here; it has been brought up before and their answer always remains the same - a very firm 'No'.

There are places on the internet for that type of talk, but it will never be 'here' - - not even 'behind closed doors', ie, a closed sub-forum.

I agree with SL. The closed doors sex chat would very likely take over the enitire forum in short order, which is one of a couple of reasons why it was not done in the first place.

There are plenty of places on the net for sex chat. I'm much more interested in gender roles and the day to day issues and challenges of being a femininely expressing man or a masculinely expressing woman.
