New Boss.

Post by Domonique »

As some of you know, the company that I work for was in bankrupcy and under a recievership for about a year and a half. They finally auctioned the parks off finally at the end of March. Unfortunately each park was sold seperately, dissapating the company.
After the judge approving the sales and closing I finally recieved word today that our new owner will be taking over about the second weel of June. I also now know that I will be definatley keeping my position with a few more responsibilities.
I am however concerned about our new owner and wonder if he realizes what he has gotten into. I believe there is gonna be alot that I am going to have to teach him. Wish me luck as I enter into this new adventure and pray I don't sting him up by his toes for not listening to me. :)

Glad you are keeping your post Dom even if things are going to be unsettled for a while! Sounds like matey is going to have a steep learning curve on his hands!

Hugs Ginny x

Since posting this I have a vague memory of us chatting and you telling me that your new boss is going to be a woman. Is that right or did I just make that up in my head(like short skirts still look good on me!)?

So pleased that you are keeping your Job Domonique, and it will be an experience for you training a new boss.

Just hope the new boss She / He will listen and take some sound advice from an experienced employee.

It will be interesting for you too when you learn where this person is from,as different parts of the country have different ways of doing things

All the best of luck in your training.

Good luck, Dom.

Training bosses can be a real experience. So,e are quick learners and others never learn, but in the end it is the boss that signs the paycheck.

Ok girls time for an update. Unfortanetly the Canadian that was suppose to buy the park is financialy unable to do so. So now we are still under the recievership until Aug. or at least that is what I am told. I am stressed out from all the major repairs that need to be properly fixed and I am only able to put a bandaid on them. Right now my hands are tied with alot of things. All in all I am keeping this park running.

UPDATE. I just found out yesterday that now the recievership was taking bids for the last week. I only wish they would hurry up and get done
with all of this. I'm starting to get annoyed now. In the mean time I have been busy around here making sure that things are done and that our lawn guy keeps up with the weadeating. He just doesn't seem to want to do it. Hopefully this will all be over soon. and I won't be so worn out. I miss everyone here. BabyDoll says hello and sends her love. Hugs to All

I am glad you are keeping your job. That can be hard when your company is going though a hard time. My company recently was spun off a bigger company and I was worried somewhat that I would be out on the street (I used to always fear the worst but now have a better attitude about such things). The company is going through some lean times like everyone else is. Good luck with things.

Hello everyone,
Well the end is finally near. Closing will be this friday. It was suppose to be monday but sometning delayed it. I have been really busy the last few weeks dealing with the E.P.A and county engineers and the health department preparing for what is to come in the next year. So the next few days I should have short days and expect our new owners in by the weekend if not monday. I am excited but nervous because I have had too much time to think and worry. As you know this is the wrong time of year to have to look for employment let alone having to move so. These thoughts have crossed my mind many times since this all has started even though I have been reassured I would be alright.
Hopefully I will be in chat tonight if I don't get bummped again. I have missed everyone and want to get back to being able to post and chat with everyone.
Hugs (--)
