Panties always. Even in my last years in the military I wore panties under my uniform.

Re: Your secret at work
Well, Fall is making its return slowly to the midwest states. I have always enjoyed the return of fall as it hearlds a bit of a renewal of crossdressing.
I am an RN, and have been for 20+ years now. Generally the "uniform" is scrubs, which make underdressing easy. I don't think I have ever worn anything but panties under scrubs ever. I have also traditionally worn either white Keds, or womens Nike, or wormens Adidas with no problem. .
About two years ago, we had a new GG nurse start that was always wearing new or nice athletic nikes or such. She would frequently wear new shoes. I started buying and wearing new womens shoes several times a month and so would she. . It got to the point where I would compliment her on her shoes, and she would compliment me on my new shoes. . .THAT was a great feeling. . . Right out in the open, and no one make the connection.
I would also wear a bra an size 5 amona or naturally me forms. (with a loose Tee shirt under scrubs.) and once aain, no one noticed. No one. . .
I had a marriage that was ending and a new relationship with a younger woman started. She was suprised but totally accecpting (I was 55 and she was 35). . .
The thing to consider, is what you wear, with what and under what circumstances. A favorite blog, lisagirl.net. She makes some great points, (she ventures out in full girl mode and from what I see, does so well.) She talks about wearing clothing that are appropriate for your age and situation. She seems to favor the milf , middle age mom look and pulls it off well. . .
Same with my work. The scrubs are baggy enough and with a loose tee shirt were bearly noticable. I still had to be cognizant of how I sat, and stood around others, but never had a problem . . .
Now that fall is here. . you can wear more layers, and wearing reasonable sized forms is not a comfort issue. Push a few limits and enjoy.

I dress as work and since I work at a Department store and work in women's area it is easy for me to just blend in, I mean people know the truth about me but they do not give me any flack for it and I am able to just be me. I am sure if I had other jobs I wouldn't be able to get away with it but they do know. I wear the full female persona
