Another new member....
Hello all. I've been lurking a few days to see if this was indeed a site I would feel welcome in joining and gain support and a great deal of quality information. The fact I'm writing this says how comfortable I'm feeling, not only with the site but in the increasing comfort of who I am.
A bit about myself... I never really considered myself a CD until very recently. As I've seen with many others, I dressed several times when I was younger. My first experience was when I was about 9. My parents were at work, leaving me alone for a few hours after school. I snuck into my mother's closet, took out a few things, put on some make-up and played around the house as a girl.
After that, I would dress up a few times here and there, but nothing more than something simple for short periods of time while alone. During my teen years and until I first met and started to date my wife, I never dressed up. As I look back, I'm not entirely sure other than the desire was there but I never acted on it.
After my wife and I were married, we were having a discussion about various things we had done in our past and she had mentioned how she loved to dress up her brothers when younger. I broached the idea of how I liked the idea of her doing it to me. Ever since thing, it has become an increasing activity for us.
Last weekend was the real turning point. We had been talking about it for quite some time and finally went out and bought some nice looking, more "casual" clothing. When we had finished, I was amazed at the difference in my appearance. I almost didn't recongize myself. It was then that I realized there was more to myself than just my everyday, masculine self I had shown the world. There was also a female side to myself that I felt needed to be expressed more fully. Its been that realization which had led us both on a search for other CD's and others like those on this site.
Our "goal", if you will, is to find more information, perhaps develop some friendships with others like ourselves, and enjoy the exploration into the "other" me.

Hi Jasmyne,
Welcome the forum!

Wow!!! What an excellent hello and beginnings post!
I thought it was quite fantastic.

Your story about your wife being the one to bring up the CD'ing is rare, but it's great!! Feel free to share you stories with us and get support from those of us who are like you.
Hopefully you won't mind me sharing with you one thing I've seen with relationships where the wife introduces this lifestyle change to her hubby. I have seen these kinds of relationships get rather stressed because the wife goes, "I wanted to do it sometimes and now he won't stop." Fortunately it's usually only a miscommunication that is easily fixed. The wife just gets confused about if her SO wants to become a woman. This may not happen with you, but I thought I'd just tell you what I've seen. Not to be a wet blanket, but to make sure you enjoy this for the rest of your life with your very loving and supporting wife.
It's great to have you with us and congrats on having a great wife!!!

Thanks!
Thank you all for the warm welcome. My wife (she is GoldenMaia on here now), thanks you as well.
Yes, she is a very special woman. I feel very lucky, and do not say lightly that she is my Soulmate. It really has been as if we've found our other half in each other, yen and yang.
As to your comment I quoted above, Beauty: Yes, there was a point this last week that topic came up. I was telling her how much I had enjoyed it, unlike I ever before that point, and how I much more I wanted to do it. Pretty much the first question out of her mouth was asking if I was considering doing the full transformation and become a woman physically.
My response was that although the idea had some appeal, as it would give me the full, ultimate experience of being a woman, that there is no way I'm going to do it. In many ways, I enjoy being a boy too much.
That has been one of the great things of our relationship. We can openly talk about just topics and rarely have any kind of miscommuincation.
Again, thank you all and I'm looking forward to getting to know you all more!

Beauty, those were great comments. Although she didn't entirely introduce me to CDing, she did provide a much needed opening that let it out. Last weekend was the first time I had dressed up in a way that really really made me look good. Everything else was cheap and cheesy looking... but when I did it last weekend, it really showed me how beautiful I could look as a woman. It greatly increased my desire to dress more and I've even been considered going out in public dressed up now when I never would have dreamed about doing it.Beauty wrote: The wife just gets confused about if her SO wants to become a woman.

Hi Jasmyne,
Welcome to the forum!
Sounds like you and Maia have a great thing going. Your situation reminds me of that of Kathy and Amanda. Kathy (who's a member here but also posts elsewhere as "KathyGG") also used to love to dress up her boyfriends when she was younger. Check out their site: http://www.geocities.com/WestHollywood/Heights/7574/
Anyway, I hope you two have fun exploring this site; it's rich and very humane. I look forward to hearing more from you.
Love,
CJ
