I have never worn wigs, I am lucky to have been blessed with thick hair, hopefully it will last. I have worn it long since my college days, back then I did it because I thought it was "cool and different", at least that is how I justified it to my friends back then. In reality, I love to do my hair, curl it, color it, or whatever. But with wigs I guess you have even more flexibility. How hard are they to use if you already have hair to the middle of your back? Just stupid questions for the wig ignorant

Oh Jaimie!

With hair to the middle of your back, the only reason to even consider wearing a wig would be to try different hair styles or colors without changing your own hair. You could try shorter hair without cutting yours or a much different color without changing yours. For me, since my hair starts halfway back my head (very high forehead!), a wig is pretty much a necessity to look femme.

You might want to check out some of the "hair additions" available to accent or enhance what you have.

First of all, the only stupid questions are those you are too afraid to ask! :) You would need to have a wig cap and put your hair into a bun on top of your head and then put the wig cap on to hide your natural hair. It would be very hot and more than likely VERY uncomfortable but also could be fun to do just to see how you look with different styles and colors.

Hugs,
Stef

wigs...

Tryin wigs out sounds like it could be fun, I've always just played around with various stylings of my natural hair. I have often wondered about some cute femme cuts that are shorter, but I am a big chicken, I have invested so much into growing my hair I am afraid I will totally regret getting it cut.

I have to say that hot rollers can create absolutely Fab results.

Rainsong, If I had your hair I would not be worried about wigs, I have a fair colloection of wigs, I enjoy them but I long for those days when I was mistaken for a girl because of my long hair. ( No where as thick as yours) Many years a ago, before you were born.. enjoy your natural long hair and for as long as you can. !!!! I think you would reget cutting your hair too.
" Hairless in Colorado". If you do buy a wig let us know how it looks and feels. ...........Kristen
