I have given up with bra sizes, no two bras are ever the same, even though they are supposed to be the same size, I just try a load on and go for what is most comfortable and looks like the best fit i.e it doesn't ride up at the back, no bulges over the front etc.
Danielle, I think you're right, I have noticed a trend towards people being told they are smaller in circumference, but larger in cup sizes, to make us feel better about ourselves I suppose

I heard a manufacturer say on T.V, a 34B fits the same as a 32C...32C sounds 'better' so a store assistant measuring you, would more likely tell you that you are a 32C. I have measured myself using two different measuring guides. I was a 34B OR a 32C depending which measurement I used...gotta say... I was happier with the 32C measurement
