My name is Nikki and I'm from Northern Virginia. I thought I would take my time and write a detailed first post, but I'm too eager to start talking with you all, so I'll be brief in my introduction.

I'm 43 years old and I've been crossdressing on and off since before kindergarten. My wife knows about it, accepts it, but would rather I just try to be a sexy male (read: metrosexual) but not a CD. She also cannot fathom why I have the desire to go out in public en femme. I haven't dressed for her nor have I made a public debut yet (except way back in my teens when I was a Playboy bunny for Halloween).

In April 2005, I came out to about half a dozen close friends and received total acceptance. However, none of them are CD/TG, so they cannot provide the perspective and advice I hope to get from this forum.

I've read only a fraction of the posts, but that was enough to make me eager to join in. The site looks very organized and well run.

Welcome and we are glad to have you amongst us!
Roanoke is not that far away, in another life I use to drive up there very often. Probably know more about I-81 and I-66 than most folks should know.

You're right that this place is a wealth of information. I call it my little oasis of sanity. An internet home away from home. You'll meet wonderful people here, and I'm sure you'll find answers to your questions. It's great that your wife is accepting. We have a wonderful SO section (Significant Other) here that she may find informative. It's strictly for the SO's.
