Thanks, Connie--
The two viewpoints don't go together so well, do they? I guess since she has never sought to pass as a man, then the mistaken identity "sort of" amuses her, irks her, or dismays her, according to the day. But it doesn't lead her to identify with anyone else who might push those boundaries.
She obviously can think and express herself well. So I'm curious about why she takes such a derisive attitude toward a gender-bender. Oh, well...
In the last month I've seen two sites where people were terribly critical and/or derogatory about CDers. This must go on behind my back, too, sometimes. But I'm fairly quick to pick up reactions, and I just don't see this kind of hostility out there. It makes me wonder if I'm being naive. Maybe it has to do with where you live, too. I'm in a fairly liberal, big-city area.
