Hello
Hello Everyone,
My name is Helen. I'm 40, originally from England, and have been living in the San Francisco Bay area with my wife for almost 10 years. (No kids, two German Shepherds). I also joined both Tri-Ess and TGSF in December 2005.
Thanks to Anita for recommending this excellent forum !
Hugs,
Helen

Welcome Helen,
I'm glad you've found this site. It truly is the best the web has to offer. I'm also a recent addition to the TriEss family. I'm in snowy CO, though. I'm sure it's much warmer in sunny CA right now.
Anyway, I just wanted to add my "Hi" to the rest. I hope you enjoy it.
Hugs,
Kyra

Hi, Helen - - welcome to the forum!! You didn't mention how your wife feels about your being CD, but she's more than welcome to join, also! Like Anita said, there is a strong SO section here, and we'd like to hear from your wife, too.

I know the German Shepherds probably behave better than kids, too!(No kids, two German Shepherds).

Maria, Donna, Anita, Kyra, Carol Ann, Virginia, and SilverLady, thank you so much for your warm welcome ! I'm very glad to be here.
My wife accepts my occasional dressing at home. Her issues seem to be private vs. public, i.e. it's OK to dress in the house but not OK for me to go out dressed. I'm encouraging her to seek as much SO support as possible.
I came out (for the second time) in December 2005, and it hit me like "a ton of bricks". WHAM ! I knew then that I wanted to live (at least part time) as a woman.
The realization was confusing and extremely scary to both of us.
Since then we have met a lot of people in the TG community, and I must say that I'm deeply touched by the compassions and warmth we have found.....
The dogs are like our kids, they may not talk but they certainly let you know what they want !
It never snows here in the East Bay Area, growing up in England I miss the snow, so sometime we take the dogs with us on trips to Shasta when visiting relatives. I'll find a fresh field of snow and let them off leash. It's great to watch them just go nuts in the snow, running around like crazy. Snow seems to bring out a joy in all of us, animal or human.
Anyway, thanks again !
Hugs,
Helen
