Longline Bra

Post by Delia »

i wife came home the other night with a present for me, it was a Doreen non wired long line bra, she thought i may find it comfortable and she thought it would give me a better line under a dress.
She was correct, it really is comfortable to wear, and under a tight jumper makes my midriff look so flat Anyone else tried one out, i can certainly say i will be using it more than a normal bra now i have discovered how it feels. it also has nice wide straps that stay on your shoulders not slip down.

Delia,

I'm also a fan of longline bras.

I have several of them and when I dress femme, I wear that style more often than not.

I have worn a longline at times -- helped give a very smooth line under a very clingy top.

I kind of like them in cooler weather but I have to agree with Virginia

HI Delia

Good to see you are here too. I have one of those Doreen Long line bras too. as is my fate, I had to get the smallest size they do.

I've tried a few long line bras but I can't find one that fits. I wear a 36C bra and dont use breast forms. I can't fill out the cups like I can a regular bra and have found I do need an underwire. I'd wear one if I could find one that fits. Maybe someone has some ideas.

I am afraid that very few long line bras are sold locally so bra fitting won't work. Anyone have good luck with a long line bra that has an underwire?

I just bought a lillyette longline strapless bra at Penneys.. I managed to get the right size and love it... It also has straps that you can fasten to it and wear it like a regular bra with straps in halter or cris crossed across the back arrangements. .. It also has light boning on the sides. Its a bit pricey at about $46 but is very smooth and gives great control for my tummy bulge...

long line

Post by Janet Bern »

I have tried so many long line bras over the years and love the concept. However, I am very tall and the longlines dont quite make it below the waist. The result is a bit of midriff bulge. The issue is that girdles arent high enough or the longline isnt low enough. I have purchased a panty that comes up to the bottom of the bra and it holds in the stomach nicely. Still I really should have one made that the breastforms fit perfectly and the length is correct. Just need the time. Janet
