Trouser Suits
As a person who normally loves wearing skirts and dresses to make me feel very feminine, the other day, my wife persuaded me to try on a trouser suit, to see how it looked on me and how i felt in it. being a skirt and dress girl i was not sure but agreed to see how it looked.
I was quite amazed at the transformation, i felt very very comfortable, and it looked really great. I teamed it with a nice white blouse and very high heels. The whole thing looked stunning, even if i say so myself. So girls there is a moral in this story, dont be afraid to try anything, it may just work, and i will certainly be wearing it again, maybe even when we go out. It did show me that is is possible to feel very ladylike even when wearing trousers.
Whats do you girls think, agree or not, lets hear from you please

Hi, Delia -
As much as I love to wear skirts or dresses, I have several pant suits that look great on me, too.
Personally, I like the ones that have a shorter jacket (mid-hip) length as opposed to the longer styles, but either way the jackets must be in the feminine-tailored styles . . . I don't want them to look like a bulky man's (or unisex) jacket. The jackets can be with or without the shoulder pads, depending on the style and cut of the jacket, as long as they are not the obnoxiously large shoulder pads . . . I don't want to look like a football player in heels!
I also have a few pant suits that are dressier for evening wear. Now if only we had the proper venue to wear these outfits!!!
*Hugs*

I have a DKNY pants suit, and I wear it for those few times when a cocktail dress or a hippie outfit or club wear is not proper. And I do try to keep that stuff to an absolute minimum.
Trouble is I think more people think of those things as hiding, a form of concealing rather than accentuating the body. I look at a woman in one and think, "What is it she does not want me to see?"

Delia,
I had, for the longest time, refused to even get any womens pants. It is getting cooler here, Michigan, and i bought some womens jeans.
I was surprised to find they are more comfortable and I can wear them all the time. So now I wear womens undies, pants, belts and socks when I go out. Sometimes I have bra on also.
I never thought of pant suits, I am also a skirt and dress girl, but maybe I will try it after all.

I have worn pant suits and the like on several occasions. /I find they can be just as flattering or more so than skirts and dresses, and many times they are a more appropriate thing to wear to the places/events I am going to.
I still like skirts and dresses better, but in drab I have clothing preferences as well (shorts and a t-shirt are best...lol)--doesnt mean I get to wear my favorites all the time.

Pantsuits look great on some women, no doubt about that. I agree with Delia that unless you try it, you'll never know what works and what doesn't. Like many of us, wearing pants most of the time in drab doesn't hold much allure when en femme. But....it sure doesn't hurt to "live a little".

While I prefer Skirts and dresses, up here in the northern climate, especially in Jan / Feb, with the wind blowing in off the lakes, skirts can be a bit cool at times.
If one goes to the malls, and looks at the ladies there, you will find that in these colder months 98% are wearing pant suits or slacks, depending on wether they are dressed for the office or casual out for a days shopping.
While It took me a long time to convince myself to buy slack and a pant suit, I have found that Ladies slacks and pant suits fit me much better than any guy ones that i have had,
I prefer the shorter jackets too, as they feel so much more comfortable than the longer ones do, and look much better.
I am leaving on vacation in a couple of weeks for a month, so I will take with me a selection of skirts and slacks. I always wear slacks when travelling, as they blend in much better, when stopping at the rest areas and truck stops for fuel etc

Uhm, Hon, that's why Virginia and I each have long fur coats . . . so we can still wear our mini skirts in the middle of winter!Denise_Love wrote:While I prefer Skirts and dresses, up here in the northern climate, especially in Jan / Feb, with the wind blowing in off the lakes, skirts can be a bit cool at times.

Trouser suits
My SO wanted me to buy one on sale. I still like skirts and dresses. Here in the south, the temp is over 80 for six months. Dresses are still cooler to wear with less sweating. Perhaps in mid winter I may try a suit with a short jacket.

PANTS
Good morning! As a CD-er, I'd say wearing skirts and dresses (knee length, a little above, a little below-- "A-Line"-- those are my preferences) are a big part of the whole experience. More "fun."
But about a year ago I was in a consignment shop, and tried on a pair of women's jeans. They fit nicely, were comfortable, and with a good wig, etc. etc. I still looked fairly "femme."
So now I have several pairs of women's jeans, along with a few pairs of pants in other colors.
Jeans are really good for the colder wintery weather; Now the ONLY time I don't cross dress at all is during summer days of over 80 degrees. I do not drive, and being out in the D.C. area summer heat for any length of time is not comfortable. (no matter how one is dressed).
Happy EARLY HALLOWEEN ("St Cross dresser's Day"-- so I've been told) to everyone!!
Peace'n'luv-- Kendra Lynn

Trouser suits
I enjoy CD'ing more in the summer withthe light weight dresses to cool off in. I have converted some ladies shorts and split skirts to a closer male look. With leg panties, I find this very comfortable in the summer. Will try trousers some cold day if it comes here.

Pant suits are
one of my favorite looks. I have only one matching suit with pants and skirt and was goint to wear the pants the other night but ended up wearing the skirt because the pants are too short with heels and i was wearing my 4 inch heeled boots. But they are just right with flat shoes. I think I will wear the same suit the next time I go out with flats and shop for a suit with longer legs and the wider flared bottoms that are so popular now. I do also have 3 pairs of gal jeans that are very comfortable two of them are suitable lengthwise to wear with heels and the other one is ok with flats. I was waiting for my wife the other day in my car and a gal got out of her car and was searching for something in the trunk of her car . She had on the most beautiful pants suit that I have seen in a long time. I tried to work up the nerve to ask her where she bought it but didn't DANG. Probably would have been to expensive anyway

I have to add my two cents as well for pants...
I love knee length skirts.. being tall I find it hard to get pants the right length. I finally found a pair of jeans that fit perfectly.. and they feel sooo good.. and look good too, especially with boots or pumps. They are great for the cold winter temperatures too...
Now its a tough choice between wearing jeans or a skirt when going out.
Its like they say.. dont knock until you've tried it...
