strenght of stockings

General talk about CD/TGing and gender topics that aren't necessarily fun things we do while en femme, or for gender-driven discussions.

strenght of stockings

Post by Absaroka »

About a year and a half ago I went for a walk by a river near my childhood home enfemme, which I posted about here. It was quite over grown, far more than I expected, and my stockings got ruined. So I hung them on a tree limb over the river and left them there.

I happened to be in the area this morning and went for another walk, en homme this time. And lo and behold they were still hanging in the tree. I find it interesting that something that rips and runs so easily could survive a year hanging in a tree, including one New England winter with all the wind- lots of nearby trees had fallen but the stockings remained.

They were thigh highs, not pantyhose. Why would anyone wear pantyhose while they were trying to make their way in a skirt through a bramble patch on a hot summer day?

Stockings are basically plastic and plastic is not biodegradable. Even though they run; they don't decompose.

Those stockings remained in the tree because of the material they are made from. Nylon is one of the strongest synthetic fibers and remnants of it will probably be around long after the world self destructs. It's amazing though, how a fiber that strong can snag, tear and run at the most inoppertune times, especially when we are wearing it on our legs. Go figure. Luv and Hugs Jill

Gee, I must have missed this thread...

I think the answer is much simpler ladies. Think about it. Why wouldn't stockings still be there in that tree? They are "stay-ups" after all.
